Job summary

Rabobank New Zealand Limited is seeking an experienced Manager, Regulatory Change to own the regulatory change management framework. You will identify, interpret and respond to evolving obligations, guiding the business with expert advice and robust oversight across governance processes.

You’ll collaborate with leaders and teams to ensure timely, high‑quality implementation, while maintaining strong accountability and independent judgement in a complex regulatory landscape.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in compliance, audit, risk management or a related discipline.
• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, or a relevant industry qualification.
• A sound understanding of the New Zealand regulatory environment and financial services.
• Knowledge across privacy, AML/CTF, sanctions, anti‑corruption, conduct, advice and prudential requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with clear messaging.
• Confidence influencing stakeholders and building agreement.
• Strong judgement, accountability and the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regulatory change and adherence process with tracking, challenge, reporting and escalation.
• Strengthen the Regulatory Change and Adherence Management Framework.
• Provide expert guidance to obligation owners and implementation leads for timely delivery.
• Maintain oversight of obligation registers and coordinate attestation processes.
• Partner with Legal and Regulatory Affairs to monitor developments and respond.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures and processes for compliance.
• Prepare clear regulatory change reporting for senior management and boards.
• Support training and capability-building across the organisation.
• Represent NZ Compliance in regional and global regulatory change projects.
• Build relationships across Rabobank NZ, regional and group compliance and external providers.
