Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies for large, complex programmes.
• Skilled in stakeholder mapping, engagement planning and managing senior stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Experience translating technical information into plain language for diverse audiences.
• Background in complex programme communications and integrating initiatives into strategic work plans.
• Ability to build positive, confidential relationships across all levels and sectors.
• Knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific cultures, and inclusive communication practices.
• Welcomes candidates with lived experience in disability communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the communications and engagement strategy, planning and delivery for a programme in delivery phase.
• Provide strategic advice and tactical communication delivery across all channels.
• Collaborate with programme teams to develop and deliver collateral (including change management).
• Identify internal/external stakeholders and analyse communications requirements.
• Embed into project teams to fulfil programme communications needs.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across all communications.
