Job summary

Kāinga Ora is seeking an experienced People Services Lead to provide strategic HR leadership and expert advice across the organisation. You will partner with business leaders to shape people strategies, deliver best-practice services, and drive performance and change across the People function.

In this pivotal role you will contribute to workforce planning, organisational design, and operating model transformation, while coaching teams to deliver high-quality change outcomes and ensuring

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across the full spectrum of HR, with a broad understanding of contemporary people practices and proven success delivering organisational outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience leading and supporting organisational change initiatives across diverse industries and environments.
• Strong knowledge of the entire employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance, development, and organisational effectiveness.
• Deep understanding of HR best practice and emerging people trends across private and public sectors.
• Proven experience partnering with leaders to provide trusted strategic and operational HR advice.
• Solid understanding of government expectations and public sector operating environments.
• Appreciation and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, and ability to foster culturally responsive people practices.
• Tertiary qualification in HR, business, organisational development or equivalent experience.
