Job summary
Contact Energy seeks an Investment Analysis professional to influence where investment goes next, based in Auckland or Wellington with flexible working arrangements. You will join a visible team evaluating opportunities, building investment cases, and providing commercial insights for executive and board level decisions.
You'll develop financial models, evaluate initiatives, and support capital allocation while collaborating with Finance leaders to improve decision quality and long-term value
Qualifications
- Experience in financial modelling, investment analysis, valuation, corporate finance, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and confidently
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining financial and commercial models
- Evaluating investment opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Supporting capital allocation and portfolio prioritisation decisions
- Providing analysis and recommendations that inform business cases and investment approvals
- Partnering with leaders across Finance and the wider business to challenge assumptions and improve decision quality
- Contributing to strategic planning and long‑term value creation activities
