Contact Energy is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to influence where investment goes next across New Zealand's energy sector. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you will join a visible team that assesses opportunities, builds investment cases, and supports decisions at executive and board level.

You’ll develop financial and commercial models, evaluate opportunities and strategic initiatives, and provide recommendations that drive capital allocation and long-term value creation.

Qualificações

• Experience in financial modelling, investment analysis, valuation, corporate finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Nice-to-haves: experience within infrastructure, energy, utilities, or capital-intensive industries.
• Exposure to strategic planning or capital allocation processes.

Responsabilidades

• Developing and maintaining financial and commercial models.
• Evaluating investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Supporting capital allocation and portfolio prioritisation decisions.
• Providing analysis and recommendations that inform business cases and investment approvals.
• Partnering with leaders across Finance and the wider business to challenge assumptions and improve decision quality.
