Job summary

Contact Energy is seeking an Investment Analysis Specialist (fixed-term) to support major infrastructure funding decisions across Aotearoa NZ. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you’ll help move ambitious projects from concept to reality with robust financial modelling and clear commercial analysis.

You’ll work closely with Treasury, Corporate Finance, and project teams on financing options, risk assessment, and investment outcomes, contributing to milestones and delivery across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in project finance, infrastructure financing, or large-scale capital projects.
• Experience assessing commercial outcomes, risks, or investment opportunities.
• Confidence working with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to balance detail with a practical, outcomes-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining financial models to support project funding decisions.
• Evaluating financing structures and commercial outcomes.
• Supporting project finance activities and investment decision-making.
• Assessing risks and opportunities across major projects.
