Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Canterbury is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and secretariat support to members of the IIG Senior Leadership Team.

You will enable leaders to manage complex portfolios and deliver strategic priorities, acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing diaries, preparing documents, and coordinating meetings and travel.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role, ideally in a large or government organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-management skills, including with senior leaders and external agencies.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and confidence managing digital workflows and information systems.
  • Sound judgement, discretion, and professionalism when managing confidential or sensitive information.
  • A proactive, adaptable attitude and a passion for supporting leadership teams to deliver their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive and secretariat support to up to two members of the IIG Senior Leadership Team.
  • Enable portfolio leads to manage complexity and deliver on strategic priorities across Infrastructure & Investment Group.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, manage correspondence and diaries.
  • Prepare documents and reports, and coordinate key meetings, briefings, and travel logistics.
