Job summary

Amazon Web Services New Zealand Limited is seeking a Senior Account Executive to own the Energy and Local Council portfolio within our New Zealand Public Sector team. You will drive cloud adoption, digital and Agentic AI transformation across energy and local government sectors, building trusted relationships and managing a long-term pipeline to deliver community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology‑related sales or business development.
• Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization.
• Experience working within or supporting the New Zealand Public Sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies that align AWS solutions with customer transformation goals across energy and local council, driving revenue growth and targets.
• Build enduring relationships with executives, digital and IT leaders, and partners across energy and local government sectors.
• Support customers' modernization to the cloud, and position AWS services—including AI and digital products—to help them grow, improve resilience and better serve their communities.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Partner teams and AWS service teams to design solutions, lead proofs-of-concept, and articulate value in terms of community outcomes, operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Develop territory plans and accurate forecasts, track pipeline and revenue, and identify opportunities across New Zealand's evolving energy and local government landscape.
• Navigate New Zealand public sector procurement, and represent AWS at relevant industry events and forums.
