Job summary

DIALOG Fitzroy in Whangarei is seeking an organised Store Person to support workshop and project teams, managing the control, issue, return and documentation of all materials, consumables, tools and equipment.

You will maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular stocktakes, liaise with procurement and logistics, and ensure materials are available when and where needed with safety and ERP compliance in mind.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Class 1 Full Licence and computer literacy with inventory systems.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Preferred: Dangerous Goods endorsement and DG documentation experience.
• Previous stores or logistics experience.
• Exposure to heavy machinery, engineering equipment, or industrial environments.

We're seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and safety-driven Store Person to support the smooth operation of our workshop and project teams. Responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, managing inventory, and ensuring materials and equipment are available when and where they're needed, you'll play a vital role in keeping our business running efficiently.

This permanent, full-time position is based in Whangarei and is well suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on role, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to accuracy, teamwork, and workplace safety.

About the Role

As a key member of the Stores team, you will be responsible for the control, issue, return, and documentation of all materials, consumables, tools, and equipment. You'll work closely with workshop personnel, project teams, procurement, and logistics to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inventory Control — Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming goods. Maintain accurate stock levels, conduct stocktakes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure correct storage and labelling.
• Workshop & Project Support — Issue materials and tools, coordinate project staging, and assist with urgent or critical material requirements.
• Systems & Documentation — Process receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP system. Maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Safety & Compliance — Promote safe work practices, assist with hazard identification, ensure equipment is certified/tested, and comply with all company and client HSE requirements.

What You'll Bring
