Job summary

Bridgestone New Zealand is seeking an experienced 2IC or Assistant Manager based in Palmerston North who is ready to step up into a Store Manager role with genuine training and support.

This full leadership position is roving within the Central North Island, overseeing store performance, P&L, team development, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining health and safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a store management or senior supervisory role.
• Strong commercial acumen - comfortable reading financials.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Solid understanding of health and safety in an operational environment.
• Familiarity with tyre products and applications is an advantage.
• A full, clean NZ Driver's Licence.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced 2IC or Assistant Manager based in Palmerston North, who's ready to step up into a Store Manager role, with genuine training and support behind you as you make that transition.

The Role

This is a full leadership position primarily based in Palmerston North, with a strong focus on supporting our local team. As this is a roving position, you may be required to support other stores within the Central North Island region as required. You'll be responsible for everything that happens inside the store, from hitting sales targets and managing the P&L, to building a team that delivers exceptional customer service every single day. You'll work closely with the Retail Operations Manager and the wider support team as you step into the role, with the autonomy to lead your team your way.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a store management or senior supervisory role, ideally in automotive, retail or a trade environment
• Strong commercial acumen - you're comfortable reading financials and taking action on what you see
• Experience leading and developing a team, with a coaching mindset
• Solid understanding of health and safety in an operational environment
• Familiarity with tyre products and applications is an advantage - but we can back the right leader
• A full, clean NZ Driver's Licence
