Job summary

Advance Agriculture is seeking a Store Manager for the Balclutha branch. You will oversee daily store operations, ensure friendly customer service to farmers and rural clients, manage stock and ordering, and coordinate with technical field reps across Advance Agriculture stores.

The role emphasizes accurate records, invoicing support, seed mixing assistance, and a strong health-and-safety culture within the store environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage stock, orders and competing priorities.
• Physically fit to assist with seed mixing.
• Understanding farming, agricultural products, spray equipment, seed or rural supplies is beneficial.
• Confident using computer systems and handling basic administration.
• Current driver license; forklift experience/endorsement beneficial.

Based at our Balclutha branch, the Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring customers receive friendly, reliable service and the right products are available when they need them. You will manage stock, support the wider sales and technical team, coordinate orders and suppliers, and maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient store environment.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the Balclutha store.

Provide excellent customer service to farmers, growers, contractors, and rural clients.

Manage stock levels, product ordering, and store presentation.

Source products and parts efficiently when specific customer requirements arise.

Work closely with technical field representatives and other Advance Agriculture stores.
