Advance Agriculture – Balclutha, South Island is seeking a Store Manager to run the Balclutha branch day-to-day, ensuring friendly service and the right products are available when customers need them. You will manage stock, coordinate orders and suppliers, and support the wider sales and technical team.

This full-time role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient store operations, with training opportunities and a supportive local team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage stock, orders, and competing priorities.
• Physically fit to assist with seed mixing.
• Practical farming knowledge or rural supplies is beneficial.
• Confident with computer systems and basic administration.
• Current driver licence; forklift experience would help.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Balclutha store.
• Provide excellent customer service to farmers, growers, contractors, and rural clients.
• Manage stock levels, product ordering, and store presentation.
• Source products and parts efficiently when specific customer requirements arise.
• Work closely with technical field representatives and other Advance Agriculture stores.
• Maintain accurate records and support invoicing, dispatch, and administration processes.
• Assist with mixing of seed.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across store operations.
