Job summary

Farmers Trading Company Ltd in Wellington is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead and support our North City Store, bringing retail knowledge and a coaching mindset.

You will manage experienced Department Managers and the sales team, drive customer service, identify improvement opportunities and contribute to strategy with strong planning and communication skills. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing large teams, or in multi-site/cluster management.
• A proven history of driving sales and delivering results through coaching and inspiring your sales teams.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally, including the ability to deliver sales training programmes.
• Experience with change management is an advantage.
• Great organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for leading our experienced Department Managers and our sales team.
• Identify areas and opportunities for improvement
• Drive a culture of world-class customer service through your management team and take the business forward through expert leadership.
• Play a key role in setting the direction required to enable great performance
• Develop and encourage commercial focus in your Department Managers.
