Qube Ports NZ in Auckland is seeking a Stevedoring Supervisor to lead a skilled loading/unloading team at the Port of Auckland. You will drive safety, plan vessel operations, and ensure efficient cargo flow through our systems.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong planning and communication skills, and a commitment to Zero Harm. You will work with captains, port authorities, and logistics partners, with rosters including mornings and evenings.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Stevedoring Supervisor is to manage and drive the loading and unloading of ships arriving at the port. This is a demanding but rewarding leadership role and pivotal to our organisation. It will involve leading a dedicated team of skilled individuals in the handling of cargo. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of your team and for managing cargo flow through the effective use of our unique cargo management systems.You will develop vessel load/unload and resourcing plans, coordinate teams, resolve operational issues, and help maintain quality and delivery timeframes. You will also lead by example in health, safety and environmental practices, ensuring hazards, incidents and risk controls are managed in line with company requirements.

Location:Port of Auckland

Status:This is a full-time role. Rosters are driven by shipping schedules, and flexibility is required, including rotating between morning and evening shifts to meet business demands.
