Responsibilities

  • Ensure critical equipment is available, safe, and ready for patient care when needed.

  • Sterile Sciences Technician - Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital
  • Permanent, Part Time, 72 hours per fortnight (0.9 FTE)

About the Role

As a Sterile Sciences Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring reusable medical devices and surgical instruments are cleaned, inspected, sterilised, and prepared to the highest quality and safety standards. Working within the Perioperative Unit, you will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services by supporting surgical and clinical teams across the organisation.

This is a hands - on, technical role where attention to detail is essential. You will work with specialised equipment and instrument tracking systems, maintain compliance with industry standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. As part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure that critical equipment is available, safe, and ready for patient care when it is needed most.
