Job summary

Placements24’s client in Queenstown is seeking a meticulous Sports Facilities Coordinator to oversee operations and maintenance of sports venues. You will ensure fields, courts, and amenities are ready for training and matches, coordinating with groundskeepers, staff and contractors to keep facilities safe and functional.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, scheduling, and proactive stakeholder communication, contributing to smooth events and strong community facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in sports or recreation.
• Strong knowledge of groundskeeping, field maintenance, and facility upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, cleaning, and maintenance of all sports fields, courts, and facilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for grounds, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with groundskeepers, maintenance staff, and external contractors for timely repairs.
• Manage scheduling of facility usage for training, matches, and events, liaising with clubs and organizers.
• Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to facility-related issues promptly, addressing user and staff concerns.
