Placements24 is seeking an experienced Leisure and Recreation Supervisor to oversee Queenstown's community programs and facilities. You will lead staff, develop engaging activities, and ensure safe, high-quality service for residents and visitors.

You'll manage budgets, coordinate schedules, and promote healthy, active lifestyles while fostering a vibrant community spirit in Queenstown. A background in recreation management or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within leisure, recreation, or community services.
• Proven ability in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in recreational settings.
• A qualification in Recreation Management, Sports Science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the delivery of leisure and recreational programs and activities in Queenstown.
• Lead, train, and schedule a team of recreation staff and volunteers.
• Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of recreational facilities and equipment.
• Develop and promote new recreational programs to meet community needs and interests.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
