Job summary

Enable New Zealand is recruiting a Specialist Services Coordinator to join our Palmerston North team on a full-time, fixed-term basis until April 2027. The role focuses on assessing eligibility for vision and hearing equipment, processing applications, and delivering high-quality customer service to clients and whānau.

You will work with assessors, suppliers, clinicians, and internal teams to ensure accurate processing and data integrity across systems.

We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whānau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Services Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis until April 2027. You will play a key role in assessing eligibility, processing applications, and providing high-quality customer service for vision and hearing-related equipment and services. This varied role combines customer service, administration, eligibility assessment, data integrity, and stakeholder coordination. You'll work closely with clients, whānau, assessors, suppliers, clinicians, and internal teams to ensure applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Assess eligibility and process applications for vision and hearing-related equipment and services.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide professional, high-quality support to clients, whānau, assessors, and suppliers.
• Review applications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and eligibility criteria.
• Maintain accurate customer, supplier, and financial records across multiple systems.
• Conduct audits, quality checks, and reporting activities to support contractual and organisational requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive customer outcomes.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, training, and continuous service enhancement.
