Job summary

AWF Group seeks an Electronics Assembler/Assembly Technician on a fixed-term 3–6 month contract in Onehunga, joining a specialist team building precision hardware for advanced space technology. The role is ideal for candidates with experience in fine assembly, soldering, and testing in high-precision manufacturing.

You will wind HTS magnet coils, assemble electromechanical components, perform soldering and quality inspections, and maintain production documentation in a laboratory/cryogenic

Qualifications

• Background in precision mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly.
• Hands-on coil winding, soldering, fine assembly, or similar.
• Strong understanding of quality standards and ability to follow drawings/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wind HTS magnet coils to exact specifications.
• Assemble complex electromechanical hardware and superconducting components.
• Perform manual soldering, bonding, masking, and fine assembly work on delicate components.
• Conduct quality inspections, functional testing, and troubleshoot assemblies and fixtures.
• Prepare materials and document production activities in a laboratory/cryogenic environment.
