We're looking for a skilled Precision Assembly Technician to join the team on an initial 3-month contract. You'll be responsible for carrying out functional testing, and supporting the assembly of complex hardware in a clean, technical environment.

This is not a high-volume production role. Every component is valuable, and success comes from patience, attention to detail and taking pride in producing work of the highest standard.

If you've worked in industries such as medical devices, aerospace, precision electronics or other high-specification manufacturing environments, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will do
  • Assemble precision mechanical and electrical components to exacting quality standards
  • Follow controlled drawings, BOMs, SOPs and detailed work instructions
  • Carry out functional testing using specialist equipment, including oscilloscopes where required
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and identify quality issues while maintaining accurate inspection records
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to deliver complex, high-value hardware
What we are looking for
  • Experience in precision manufacturing, assembly or mechanical technician roles
  • Ability to work from controlled drawings, BOMs, SOPs and detailed work instructions
  • Confident using calibrated measuring and testing equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail with a consistently high standard of workmanship
  • Background in medical devices, aerospace, electronics or other precision manufacturing environments would be highly regarded
What's in it for you
  • Work on genuinely cutting-edge technology within the space sector
  • Join a friendly, collaborative team where quality is valued above speed
  • Monday to Friday standard business hours based in Onehunga
  • Immediate start on an initial 3-month contract
  • Opportunity to contribute across a variety of interesting precision assembly projects
  • Potential for future contract opportunities as additional programmes commence
  • Competitive hourly rate based on your experience
