Job summary
Lightforce Solar in New Zealand is seeking a qualified Solar Electrician to install, test, commission and maintain residential and commercial solar and battery systems, working with experienced teams to meet high safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on outdoor role with opportunities to build renewable energy expertise.
You will be required to hold NZ Electrical Registration or NZ Limited Certificate (EWRB) and a full NZ Driver Licence.
Qualifications
- NZ Electrical Registration or NZ Limited Certificate (EWRB) is required.
- Full NZ Driver Licence is mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and specs.
- Experience with solar installations is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Install, connect, test, and commission solar power systems.
- Install and maintain PV, inverters, battery storage, and switchgear.
- Interpret electrical drawings and installation documentation.
- Perform testing, fault finding, repairs, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with NZ electrical standards and safety regs.
- Support installation teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
- Assist with stock management and site duties as needed.
- Deliver professional customer service and maintain client relationships.
