Job summary

Caterpillar of Australia and New Zealand is seeking a QA Test Engineer to join the CTCT division. You will participate in specification, design, documentation and execution of testing for machine control software and hardware, working closely with software and system engineers to ensure high-quality products for earthmoving applications.

The role focuses on API/integration testing, bug reporting and automated test script development, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement of testing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA, software testing, or software engineering.
• ISTQB Foundation/Advanced/Agile Tester certification is beneficial.
• Experience with C++, Web or Android code is beneficial but not required.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• API, integration and system testing of products during development.
• Interpretation of high-level marketing requirements into detailed user-centric specifications suitable for development purposes.
• Create bug reports with detailed information and relevant supporting diagnostic information to allow the effective triaging and resolution of software issues.
• Creating and updating test and regression plans for new features or products or replacement products
• Developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to optimise the testing process and reduce manual testing efforts
• Continuous improvement of testing processes.
• Helping diagnose, troubleshoot and reproduce customer escalated cases
• Any other duties directed by Management as and when required
