Storman, a market leader in self-storage software in New Zealand and Australia, is hiring a Software Engineer in Auckland. You will design, build and support web applications, collaborating with product, engineering and support to deliver value to thousands of customers.

You’ll work across the full software lifecycle, modernising platforms and contributing to high engineering standards. The role offers a competitive NZD salary and KiwiSaver contributions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and supporting web applications.
• Proficient in PHP with Laravel framework.
• Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Front-end skills: JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, CSS.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, reliable software across web apps and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Drive quality through testing, code reviews and best-practice engineering.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Contribute to platform modernization and continuous delivery improvements.
• Support release activities and improve engineering efficiency through automation.
