Job summary

Babcock New Zealand invites an experienced project management leader to define and shape major maritime projects before delivery. You will work across engineering, commercial, supply chain and operations to transform strategic requirements into executable programmes that support defence and maritime capability.

You will engage senior stakeholders, lead multidisciplinary teams, establish baselines, and ensure projects are governance-ready for successful execution.

About you

You are an experienced project management professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and bringing clarity to large-scale programmes. You have successfully led multidisciplinary teams and developed robust project scopes, schedules, budgets and risk frameworks within maritime, defence, engineering or asset-intensive environments. Strong stakeholder engagement comes naturally to you, and you're comfortable influencing senior leaders and external partners. Most importantly, you're proactive, commercially aware, delivery-focused, and capable of turning strategic objectives into practical, achievable project outcomes.
