Job summary

Potentia is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager to lead complex ICT initiatives and drive business transformation. You will own key applications and partner with senior stakeholders to shape delivery and outcomes.

You will act as a trusted 2IC to the Head of Project Delivery, mentoring PMs, guiding on delivery challenges and improving practices across the team. This role blends hands-on leadership with broader influence across a diverse organisation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in project management roles.
• Proven experience delivering complex ICT projects or programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management including executive-level engagement.
• Experience managing project teams, vendors, budgets, risks, and governance.
• PM certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, PMI, Agile/Scrum, CSM, or PMI-ACP.
• Strong communications, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical, collaborative and outcomes-focused approach.
• Experience improving project delivery maturity across teams.

About the role:

This is a genuinely senior delivery opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager who can lead complex, business-led technology initiatives while contributing to the broader capability of the project delivery function. You’ll take ownership of important applications and business transformation projects, working closely with senior stakeholders to navigate priorities, shape delivery and drive successful outcomes.

Beyond your own portfolio, you’ll play an influential role across the wider delivery team. Acting as a trusted 2IC to the Head of Project Delivery, you’ll support and mentor Project Managers, provide guidance on complex delivery challenges and help strengthen project practices and ways of working.

You’ll be joining a supportive, high-trust team and working across a diverse organisation with a range of stakeholders, business areas and perspectives. This will suit someone who brings strong delivery leadership, sound judgement and the confidence to operate effectively in complex environments.

What you’ll need bring:

• Proven 7+ years’ experience in project management roles
• Proven experience delivering complex, high-value ICT projects or programmes
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement
• Proven experience managing project teams, vendors, budgets, risks, and governance
• Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, PMI, Agile/Scrum, CSM, or PMI-ACP

• Proven experience improving project delivery maturity across teams

Nice to have:

• ITIL Foundation certification
