Job summary

CardioScan New Zealand seeks a Clinical Assistant to support sleep and cardiac diagnostic services in New Plymouth. You will work directly with patients, helping clinicians fit and download diagnostic devices and perform ECGs, vitals, and monitoring tasks.

This role suits healthcare professionals such as HCA, EMT or Allied Health Assistant who value hands-on practice, compassionate care, and a growth pathway in sleep diagnostics and CPAP management within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Holds a Healthcare Assistant, EMT or Allied Health Assistant qualification.
• Has 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical, or patient-facing environment.
• Enjoys working directly with patients and providing compassionate care.
• Is confident communicating with patients, clinicians and healthcare professionals.
• Has strong attention to detail and can accurately follow clinical processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fitting and downloading diagnostic devices and sleep studies.
• Conduct ECGs and record vital signs.
• Support clinicians in delivering sleep and cardiac diagnostic services.
• Ensure patients have an exceptional experience throughout their healthcare journey.
