Job summary

CardioScan Aotearoa is seeking a Clinical Assistant for our New Plymouth team. You’ll provide hands-on care, assist with sleep diagnostics and ECGs, and help patients feel at ease during their healthcare journey.

The role is part-time (18–20 hours/week) with direct patient interaction and structured training in sleep diagnostics and CPAP management. You will work closely with experienced clinicians in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Has 2-3 years' experience in a healthcare, clinical or patient-facing environment.
• Holds a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Nursing Technician (NT) or Allied Health Assistant qualification.
• Shows compassion, attention to detail and ability to follow clinical processes.
• Eager to learn new diagnostic technology and equipment.
• Delivers an exceptional patient experience with reliable, organised work.

Responsibilities

• Fit and download diagnostic devices and assist with sleep studies.
• Conduct ECGs and record vital signs accurately.
• Support clinicians and patients throughout the care pathway.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered healthcare journey.
