Job summary

CHANEL in Britomart, Auckland seeks a part-time Skincare Specialist to deliver bespoke facial treatments in-chair and provide expert skincare guidance to clients. You will be a brand ambassador, maintaining high standards of presentation and service while adapting to diverse environments.

Responsibilities include personalized consultations, recommending skincare programs, sharing product knowledge, and supporting Beauty Advisors with guidance and inspiration.

Qualifications

• Certification in beauty therapy or equivalent diploma/certification.
• CIDESCO or CIBTAC certifications are highly regarded.
• Experience in skincare and client consultations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized skincare consultations and facial massage using Chanel techniques.
• Propose personalized skincare programs to deliver results and client satisfaction.
• Share Chanel skincare knowledge and tips to inspire clients to explore our Beauty range.
• Coach Beauty Advisors as a source of skincare knowledge and inspiration.

As an expert in their field, the Skincare Specailist curates a unique Brand experience by delivering bespoke facial treatments in chair, ensuring each client interaction reflects excellence, professionalism and deep product expertise.

Combining knowledge with a refined client-centric approach, the Skincare Specailist provides tailored skincare advice, educates clients on effective skincare regimes, and builds meaningful, trust-based relationships that reinforce the Brand’s premium positioning.

The Skincare Specialist operates as a brand ambassador in motion, upholding the highest standards of presentation, service delivery and discretion while adapting seamlessly to diverse environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide personalized skincare consultations and facial massage to clients using the unique Chanel trained techniques.
• Understand client’s needs in skincare, propose personalized skincare program that delivers accurate results to ensure client satisfaction.
• Share skincare knowledge trends and Chanel facial techniques and tips with clients to inspire them to explore our Beauty range
• Coach and offer skincare knowledge to Beauty Advisors as a voice of influence and inspiration.

YOU ARE ENERGIZED BY

The Skincare Specailist is a hands on position, that requires the successful candidate to use their Beauty Therapy background, develop client relationships to drive repeat business. You will also be required to sell across all axis of Chanel to enhance the client experience. You will be energized by the Beauty industry and building lasting relationships to achieve results for the business.

What You Will Bring

• Expert knowledge in beauty trends and culture, with an excellent understanding of the skin and skin treatments.
• Experience and understanding working with clients to understand and explain skincare, products and Chanel treatments.
• Storytelling capability and ability to engage and inspire clients and team members.
• Proactive attitude, a self-learner and influencer of Skincare best practice.
• Professional knowledge and certification in beauty therapy or equivalent diploma / certificate.
• International certifications such as CIDESCO Diploma in Aesthetics / CIBTAC Certification is highly regarded.
• Basic makeup skills to finish the client experience would be advantageous.

This is a part time position of 30 hours, with a roster including some weekends and some late nights.
