Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join established Auckland companies. You will fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal components across a range of projects, working with stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised steel.

You will read drawings, operate fabrication tools and perform MIG/TIG welding, with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Immediate start and full-time opportunities with ongoing work and support from Tradestaff.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator.
• Trade qualification in Sheet Metal Engineering or relevant practical experience.
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised steel and mild steel.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate, assemble, modify and install sheet metal components for commercial, industrial and engineering projects.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend and shape sheet metal to specifications.
• Operate guillotines, shears, plasma cutters and other metal cutting equipment.
• Use press brakes, rollers and folding machines to form components.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding, riveting, fastening and other metal joining techniques.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans and technical specs.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components, brackets, panels and enclosures.
• Work with stainless steel to produce high-quality finished products.
• Fabricate and install sheet metal ducting and ventilation systems.
• Repair, modify and maintain existing sheet metal structures and equipment.
• Finish by grinding, polishing, deburring and prepping components for installation.
• Check measurements, tolerances and finished products for quality control.
