Job summary

Briscoe Group Limited is seeking an experienced IT professional for a six‑month fixed‑term contract in Morningside. The role provides hands‑on Level 3 systems and technical support to empower a high‑performing team across the retail network.

The position is on‑site, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on‑call and travel to stores as required. Requires 5+ years of IT experience, a related diploma/bachelor’s degree, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least five years IT experience with Level 3 capability.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business or computing or equivalent learning.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent problem‑solving skills.
• Clear interpersonal and communication skills; ability to guide users.
• Structured approach to change control, documentation and helpdesk practices.
• Availability for on‑call roster and travel to stores as required.

Responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day systems work and technical issues to enable the IT team to focus on projects.
• Manage and monitor existing and new IT systems and infrastructure; install, configure, test, maintain and upgrade.
• Provide hands‑on systems support to projects including configuration, testing, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Provide second and third level support; assist with helpdesk overflow and troubleshoot outages.
• Apply security patches; maintain security, backup and redundancy practices.
• Improve systems availability and efficiency via monitoring and automation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, end‑users, vendors and service providers across offices, stores and distribution.
• Participate in the on‑call roster and travel to stores locally and nationally as required.
