Job summary

Connell Contractors Limited in Hamilton is seeking an experienced site supervisor to lead on civil projects across NZ. You will run the onsite operations, conduct toolbox talks, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Reporting to Construction Manager, you will guide crews through earthworks, drainage, precast and in-situ concrete, read plans, coach junior trades, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years NZ-based supervisor experience in civil construction.
• Experience on earthworks, drainage, precast concrete and in-situ concrete.
• Strong leadership and no-nonsense attitude to health & safety.
• A sharp eye for quality and the paperwork to match.
• Confidence with plans, scopes, and scheduling.
• Willingness to mentor and build up the next generation of tradies.
• Full class 1 licence.
• Willingness to travel and stay away as jobs require.

You’re an experienced supervisor who’s been in the trenches and know what it takes to keep a crew humming and a site running smooth. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves, make solid calls under pressure and take ownership of jobs from start to finish.

Reporting to the Construction Manager you will hold:

• Experience on the following – earthworks, drainage, precast concrete, in-situ concrete
• Natural leadership and no-nonsense attitude to health & safety
• A sharp eye for quality and the paperwork to match
• Confidence with plans, scopes, and scheduling
• Willingness to mentor and build up the next generation of tradies
• Full class 1 licence
• Flexibility to regularly travel and stay away as jobs require
