Fulton Hogan is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead on-site mechanical fitting and welding tasks across water and wastewater projects in the region. You will interpret drawings, install pipework, and manage fit-up activities on site with a focus on safety and quality.

You will mentor the team, coordinate with engineers and supervisors, and ensure work progresses to programme while upholding Fulton Hogan’s standards and Good Work ethos.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical fitter/welder experience in industrial or engineering environments.
• NZ Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Trade (Level 4) with Fitting & Machining or Maintenance Engineering strand.
• Ability to read drawings and work from technical plans.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coordinate, install, assemble and align mechanical equipment and pipework on construction sites.
• Plan and prioritise work to ensure safety and high-quality delivery on time.
• Read and interpret drawings, isometrics, and site plans for accurate fit-up work.
• Carry out pipe fitting and mechanical installation with site modifications meeting project specs.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and problem-solving on site.
• Complete job records, maintenance documentation, and reporting accurately and on time.
• Tack weld pipework and components on site to support fit-up before final welding.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and crews to deliver safe, efficient outcomes.
• Promote safety and high productivity standards and team culture.
