Job summary

Technical Recruitment Solutions – Christchurch, South Island is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a new large Design & Build project in regional Canterbury. You will own day-to-day site operations, lead teams, and ensure safe, on-time delivery while working away from home Monday to Friday.

You'll travel with full travel and accommodation provided, plus Living Away From Home Allowances, five weeks annual leave and opportunities for ongoing training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Several years of Site Management in New Zealand.
• Experience building large concrete structures.
• Trade qualification or relevant construction background.
• Good planning, coordination and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to solving problems on site.
• Excellent knowledge of NZ health and safety requirements.
• Positive and supportive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day site operations delivering safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Drive short-term works and sequencing to prevent delays.
• Lead by example to maintain high safety standards.

A highly respected Design & Build contractor is entering an phase of growth and is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join a new large project starting.

Autonomy

You'll take ownership of the day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to programme. You'll coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel, driving short-term planning, sequencing works and resolving issues before they impact productivity.

Leadership

You'll lead from the front, creating a positive site culture while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, workmanship and client satisfaction.

Work away and save

The project is based in Regional Canterbury, so you'll be comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday. All travel, accommodation and Living Away From Home Allowances are provided, allowing you to focus on the project while enjoying your weekends back at home.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and naturally leads by example. Ideally you'll have:
