Job summary

Devcorp Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a vertical construction project in Queenstown, NZ. You will lead a quality build, ensure health and safety standards, and maintain detailed site records.

You will coordinate staff and subcontractors, report progress, and drive compliance with QA and environmental policies. A strong NZ Building Code background and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Devcorp Construction, a New Zealand-owned and progressive construction company, is active in both the commercial and civil construction sectors. We've secured an exciting vertical construction project in Queenstown and are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our construction team and help deliver it.

Key Requirements:

Qualified carpenter with a comprehensive understanding of the NZ Building Code.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Manager in New Zealand, particularly on multi-level vertical construction projects.

Proven ability to coordinate and manage site staff, multiple sub-contractors, and be a real team player.

Extensive experience and knowledge in New Zealand construction, with a solid track record of working effectively within a team.

Demonstrated ability to track programmes and provide accurate reporting.

Drive Compliance with Devcorp Construction's Health & Safety, Drug & Alcohol, QA and Environmental Policies.

Strong background in health and safety systems and management and have the ability to provide safety audits and investigations as required.

Coordinate and run site meetings/toolbox talks

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders from councils to our clients

Must be able to manage change and work through challenges.

Must have the ability to maintain site records and work with Procore or other project software.
