Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer to work with experienced Project Managers, Site Managers and Foremen on the full delivery of concrete structures across commercial, civil, infrastructure and residential sectors throughout the South Island.

You’ll be involved in set-out, measurements, pour planning and coordinating formwork and QA, with strong NZ construction experience and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• 2+ years' relevant NZ construction experience.
• Experience with concrete structures, formwork, commercial construction or civil projects.
• Understanding of reinforcement, concrete pours, temporary works and QA.
• NZ working rights.
• Full Class 1 driver's licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the South Island when required.
• Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, survey equipment or QA experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set-out, measurements, quantities and pour planning.
• Supporting formwork, reinforcing and concrete placement.
• Daily site coordination and planning.
• QA documentation, ITPs, pour records and hold points.
• Procurement, material tracking and subcontractor coordination.
• Construction methodologies and temporary works.
• Working alongside Project Managers, Site Managers and Foremen.
