Key responsibilities include carrying out structural and geotechnical monitoring inspections, reviewing foundations and earthworks against drawings, documenting issues, photographing and recording findings, and communicating with engineers, builders and clients while

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in construction monitoring or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full New Zealand driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out structural and geotechnical construction monitoring inspections.
• Inspecting foundations, reinforcing, retaining walls, earthworks and other structural works.
• Reviewing construction against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Identifying and documenting construction issues or departures from the design.
• Preparing accurate site inspection records with photographs and observations.
• Communicating with engineers, builders, contractors, architects and clients.
• Coordinating with engineering teams for technical input or design clarification.
• Managing inspections independently and maintaining clear records across multiple projects.
