Job summary

WSP New Zealand is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join the New Plymouth office, delivering consultancy services across site investigations, analysis, reporting, design and construction observation for buildings, roads, water and structures.

This role will help grow the geotechnical engineering capacity in the New Plymouth office and the wider Taranaki/Manawanganui-Whanganui region, collaborating with a national team of experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Geotechnical Engineering from a NZ-recognised program.
• Experience with New Zealand design codes and standards.
• Full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
• Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultancy services including site investigations, analysis, reporting, design and construction observation for buildings, roads, water and structures.
• Grow and develop geotechnical engineering capacity in the New Plymouth office and the Taranaki/Manawatu-Whanganui region.
