Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a competent Site Engineer to manage construction activities in Queenstown and surrounding areas, ensuring work adheres to plans and specifications while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and proven site experience, with responsibilities including coordinating with project managers, surveyors, and subcontractors, and preparing daily reports to track progress on diverse infrastructure projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Site Engineer or similar construction engineering role required.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work in dynamic site environments, including remote coordination if needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct construction activities on site, ensuring conformity to plans and specifications.
• Implement quality control procedures to meet standards.
• Manage on-site resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates.
