Job summary

Placements24's client in Queenstown is seeking a skilled Site Development Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role covers planning, design and oversight of land development projects across commercial, residential and industrial sites, with emphasis on grading, drainage, utility design and sustainable practices.

You will work in a hybrid environment, coordinating with clients, designers and regulators, conducting feasibility studies, preparing development plans, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of site development experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of grading, hydrology, hydraulics and utility design.
• Knowledge of local land use regulations and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Design site grading, drainage systems, utility infrastructure (water, sewer, stormwater) and access roads.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess development potential and constraints.
• Prepare site development plans, erosion control plans and permit applications.
• Ensure designs comply with local zoning ordinances, building codes and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, surveyors and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide construction support, including site inspections and problem-solving.
