Job summary

Placemakers in Dunedin is seeking a customer-focused team member for our Trade Counter and Showroom. You will interact daily with customers, process sales and help grow the department while merchandising and running in-store promotions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, ideally in a retail sales environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people from all ages and backgrounds.
• Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently.
• Computer and numeracy knowledge.
• Great attention to detail, organised and great time management.
• Strong sales focus and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers by being solutions focused, offering product support and technical information.
• Process sales at our Trade Counter.
• Play an integral part of growing sales within this department.
• Merchandising and run in-store promotions.
• Assist customers with returns or repairs.
• Monitor inventory and cycle counts.
