Job summary

Silver Fern Farms is seeking a Shipping Administrator to coordinate shipping activities at our Finegand site. You will ensure accurate export documentation, manage deadlines, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep shipments moving smoothly.

The role requires attention to detail, practical shipping or logistics experience, and strong communication. Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm, with overtime during peak seasons. Join us to support a high‑tempo cold chain operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or administration (export knowledge is an advantage).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and systems, with a willingness to learn new tools.
• Problem-solving mindset and commitment to quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping contracts with in-store inventory and ensure timely container supply and transport to port.
• Generate accurate electronic export documentation in line with MPI requirements, including certificates and supporting materials.
• Liaise with shipping companies, MPI representatives, and internal teams to meet loading schedules and compliance standards.
• Plan and monitor container loading against inventory records, ensuring shipping instructions and deadlines are met.
• Maintain records and provide general administrative support to the Cold Chain/Dispatch team.

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Shipping Administrator to join our team at Silver Fern Farms Finegand. In this role, you’ll play a key part in coordinating shipping activities, ensuring export documentation is accurate and completed on time, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to keep everything moving smoothly.
