Job summary

Tahua Group, owner of BK Henderson NZ, seeks a Shift Manager to lead a small fast‑food team during on‑site shifts. You’ll supervise staff, ensure quality and safety, and drive operational excellence across busy evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of team management experience in fast food or similar hospitality/retail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster a positive culture.
• Experience onboarding new employees and staff training/motivation (advantage).
• Able to unpack stock deliveries and perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a small team of fast food workers to ensure smooth shifts.
• Ensure all operational standards including food safety and quality are met.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate to experts as required.
• Uphold Health & Safety policies for all employees.
• Support promoting restaurant profitability by managing costs and opportunities.
