Job summary

Cube Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Welder/Fabricator for immediate start at East Tamaki, North Island. The role requires precision, strong English communication, and a can-do attitude to turn customers' dreams into reality.

Trade qualification preferred or substantial experience in sheet metal welding and fabrication. Applicants must be NZ resident or hold a valid work visa, with safety as a priority and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified preferred or significant experience in sheet metal welding and fabrication.
• Ability to pass or attain welding ticket(s) if required.
• Strong communication in English and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret sketches, drawings, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Perform precise sheet metal welding and fabrication on aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel.
• Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work independently or with the team to achieve project goals.
• Ensure quality and integrity of finished products and adhere to safety standards.
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Trade Qualified prefered or significant experience in sheet metal welding and fabrication
• NZ resident or hold a valid work visa - Must be authorized to work in New Zealand

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret sketches, drawings, blueprints, technical drawings  fag-packet sketches
• Perform precise sheet metal welding and fabrication tasks in thin to medium gauge Aluminium, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel
• Maintain and operate all equipment (inc. welding equipment) safely and efficiently
• Ability to work unsupervised o and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
• Ensure the quality and integrity of finished products
• Adhere to strict safety standards and industry practices
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge

JOB PRE-REQUISITES :

• Familiar with CNC brake press operation (a must)
• NC guillotine work
• Light/Med gauge Arc/Mig/Tig (purge welding& laser welding experience will be looked on favourably)
• Fit and healthy - able to lift up to 25kg
• Ability to pass or attain welding ticket(s) if required.
