Job summary

Fuel Storage Ltd in Napier seeks a Retail Service Technician to service and repair fuel dispensing equipment across Hawke’s Bay. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and complete new installations, sometimes solo on-site and other times in workshop settings with the Napier team.

The role blends fault-finding, mechanical work and customer interaction to keep fuel systems safe, compliant and operational.

Qualifications

  • Experience servicing fuel systems, pumps or similar mechanical equipment is highly regarded.
  • Mechanically minded with electrical fault-finding ability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload.
  • Full Class 1 driver's licence.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling throughout Hawkes Bay.

Fuel Storage Ltd is the market leader in fuel storage tanks, dispensing systems and service solutions. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Retail Service Technician to join our Hawkes Bay team.

About the Role

You will spend your days servicing and repairing fuel dispensing equipment across Hawkes Bay, responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance, and carrying out new installations. Some days you will be working independently on-site, while others you will be completing workshop fit-ups alongside the Napier team.

It's a varied role that combines fault-finding, mechanical work, customer interaction and problem-solving, ensuring our customers' fuel systems remain safe, compliant and operational.

Key Responsibilities

Service and maintain fuel storage and dispensing systems

Respond to breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance

Carry out installation and fit-up work (site and workshop-based)

Travel across the Hawkes Bay region
