Job summary

HTC Ltd, a family-owned supplier and service provider for New Zealand’s key industries, is seeking a Service Technician in Auckland. You’ll diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools, manage jobs from booking to invoicing, and keep customers informed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing or repairing tools, machinery or equipment (a trade qualification is an advantage, not a must).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical systems (a big plus).
• Strong attention to detail and computer literacy for job records and invoicing.
• Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Physically capable, motivated and ready to take initiative.
• A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in when the team needs you.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools to OEM specifications.
• Managing jobs from start to finish: booking in, assessing, repairing, service reports and invoicing.
• Keeping turnaround times tight and customers updated on progress.
• Servicing and fitting out tools for our Hire and Sales teams.
• Working through warranty jobs with the Branch Manager and our suppliers.
• Keeping spare parts stock accurate and the service bay organised and well presented.
• Sharing knowledge and learning as part of a collaborative team

We’re looking for a Service Technician to join our Auckland team at Airport Oaks. You’ll keep our customers’ tools, and our own hire fleet, working the way they should. Expect variety, real customer contact and a tight-knit team that backs each other.
