Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Service Technician for Chain & Rigging to operate a mobile testing vehicle, visit customers across the Auckland region and deliver on-site testing, certification, repairs and maintenance of lifting and height safety equipment.

You will maintain lifting registers, promote testing programmes, and build lasting customer relationships while delivering reliable service and expert advice.

Formación

• Practical mechanical or hands-on technical experience.

• Basic computer literacy; training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct on-site testing, certification, repair and maintenance of lifting and height safety equipment.

• Plan and execute regular customer visits to ensure ongoing compliance and service.
• Promote our mobile testing service and identify opportunities for additional products.
• Keep detailed records, manage stock levels in the van, and process invoices promptly.
• Deliver excellent customer service and meet performance targets.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.

About The Role

You’ll operate a fully equipped mobile testing vehicle, visiting customers across the Auckland region. This customer-facing position combines practical technical work with proactive service and relationship building. You’ll deliver on-site testing, certification, repairs, and maintenance of lifting and height safety equipment, while actively promoting our testing programmes and related products.

You’ll manage your own customer visit schedule, maintain accurate lifting registers and compliance records, identify sales opportunities, and ensure every customer interaction adds real value through reliable service and expert advice.

Key Responsibilities
