Job summary

Truckstops Blenheim, part of Sime Motors, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service operation and a team of skilled technicians and apprentices. You will drive performance, coach staff, manage budgets, and ensure safe, high-quality service for customers.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and supported by the Regional Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day service delivery, optimise workflows, and contribute to the wider branch’s success while growing your leadership career.

Qualifications

• Previous workshop leadership experience (Senior Leading Hand, Foreman or similar).
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop people.
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building at all levels.
• Good understanding of workshop financials (budgets, P&L, margins, targets).
• Strong decision-making, planning and prioritisation.
• Commitment to health and safety and quality service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the service team to deliver high-quality service.
• Coach and develop technicians and apprentices to build team capability.
• Manage workshop performance, budgets and targets.
• Prioritise workflow and resources to deliver great outcomes for customers.
• Champion health and safety and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to support branch success.
