Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support large-scale MySQL and PostgreSQL environments in production and development.

You’ll participate in on-call rotations, drive automation to improve availability, and help design scalable database services across cloud platforms. The role requires deep expertise in Linux, containerization, and IaC, with a focus on reliability and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of database experience at scale in enterprise cloud apps.
• 3+ years with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL in private/public clouds (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with managed cloud databases and core architecture (HA, backup, replication).

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise-grade MySQL/PostgreSQL databases at scale in AWS/GCP.
• Own on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
• Automate availability and scalability improvements across services.
• Architect and evolve database services and CI/CD pipelines.
