Greater Wellington is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Modeller/Analyst to join the Wellington Transport Analytics Unit (WTAU). The role supports Hutt City Council and the wider Wellington region with modelling, analytics and disruption planning.

The successful candidate will lead disruption modelling, deliver network performance assessments and contribute to evidence-based transport planning. Flexible and remote work options apply, with travel for meetings as required.

Formación

• Significant experience in transport modelling, transport planning or transport analytics.
• Experience using AIMSUN or comparable traffic modelling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with councils, consultants and transport stakeholders.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Lead transport disruption scenario modelling using the existing Hutt City AIMSUN model.
• Deliver travel time, delay, queue and network performance assessments.
• Support evidence-based transport planning, business cases and investment decision making.
• Maintain and enhance Hutt City Council transport disruption dashboards.
• Communicate modelling results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to broader WTAU transport modelling and analytics projects.
