Job summary

Buddle Findlay in Auckland is seeking a Senior Associate in Technology, Media and Telecommunications with 8+ years' TMT/IT law experience to join our market-leading team.

You will advise blue-chip clients, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to business development while collaborating across cross-border matters for private and public sector work in New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' TMT-focused legal experience gained within a law firm or in-house environment.
• Advising on a range of TMT matters including technology procurement, commercial contracting, privacy, data protection and cyber.
• Enjoy collaborating, building strong client relationships and contributing to a supportive team culture.
• Interested in developing your profile and contributing to business development in the TMT sector.

Responsibilities

• Advise blue-chip private and public sector organisations, technology start-ups, private equity and venture capital firms, broadcasting and media entities, and health agencies on TMT matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Take ownership of matters and work directly with clients.
